The American President is written, produced and directed by Philip B. Kunhardt, Jr., Philip B. Kunhardt III, and Peter W. Kunhardt. The executive producers are Peter W. Kunhardt and William R. Grant. The series is a co-production of Kunhardt Productions and Thirteen/WNET in New York. The sole funder for the project is the New York Life Insurance Company.
